This bulletin is inform you of an important change in how Ontario businesses and not-for-profits will be required to deal with the Government of Ontario. Service Ontario has launched an online portal, the Ontario Business Registry, for businesses and not-for-profit corporations that are registered, incorporated, or licensed to carry on business in Ontario. This service went live on October 19, 2021.
It is intended as the main site for accessing information about your business, making provincial filings such as Annual Returns, searching the Ontario Business Registry, creating a new business in Ontario, or dissolving a business.
For businesses incorporated in Ontario, Wilkinson & Company LLP previously prepared your annual return as part of the corporation’s T2 tax return. This integration with the T2 has been discontinued, but Wilkinson will still prepare these returns and is here to assist you in all other aspects of compliance and administering your business.
Action required: A company key is required to access your business’ profile. Please request this company key, online at HERE or by calling 1-800-361-3223. Once you receive this key, please contact your advisor at Wilkinson & Company LLP so that we can continue assisting you.
