JON TUER

Jon started with Wilkinson in 2001 as a summer student.  While attending the University of Waterloo, he completed 4 co-op terms with the firm.  After completing his Master’s degree, he joined the firm on a full-time basis in 2005. He passed his final exams in 2005 and completed his practical experience requirements in 2007 to obtain his CA designation.  He was promoted to Assurance manager in 2012 and became partner in 2019.

Jon has worked with clients that cover a wide variety of industries, focusing on understanding each of their unique businesses and goals, and working with them to deliver innovative solutions to meet their needs.

Mentorship and training within the firm has always been important to Jon, and he ran the Firm’s internal staff training program as required by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (now CPA Ontario).  Jon understands the importance of having great staff in order to serve our clients and believes the great team we have is what has helped build the strong reputation of Wilkinson & Company.

Outside of the office, curling and golf are two of Jon’s many hobbies along with other outdoor activities.

Volunteering is also a passion of Jon’s and he served for many years on the Board of the Quinte Curling Club and in 2019 served as President of the Belleville Chamber of Commerce.
