About

“We do our very best to put the client first and we are always looking for opportunities to save them money on taxes. We don’t just fill in forms, or make sure they are compliant; we take the time to talk to our clients and learn about their life. We make sure that what the client gets is not just what they want – but what they need.”

Kris Himberg-Larsen received his CA in 2001 and completed the In-Depth Tax Course in 2006. Relocating from Mississauga, he joined Wilkinson in 2010 as a Tax Manager. Working with the firm’s partners, Kris handles complex tax issues involving corporate reorganizations, personal and corporate tax planning and succession planning. Kris is dedicated to keeping up to date in the rapidly evolving field of taxation and knows that life-long learning is an essential part of a successful career as an accountant. He mentors staff in house and teaches the “Income Tax Update” course for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and also teaches tax to prospective CA students studying to become Chartered Accountants at the School of Accountancy.

Kris is a member of the executive council of the Quinte Estate Planning Council. This Council is an organization of local professionals - made up of accountants, lawyers and financial planners - who meet regularly to discuss current estate planning issues.

Kris enjoys solving problems on behalf of his clients and offering tangible results. When he implements a tax strategy for something like a succession plan, he takes into consideration all the individual issues inherent in passing over a business to the next generation. With a wide variety of clients, Kris knows every situation is unique. With his extensive range of tax knowledge, Kris goes “ above and beyond” to provide a custom solution to remove any obstacles that lie in the way of his clients’ financial security today, and in the future.
